By: From staff reports

FISHERTOWN — Chestnut Ridge spotted Bald Eagle Area a 10-7 first-quarter lead, but after that it was all the Lions on Friday night as they upended the Eagles 23-10.
The Eagles (3-1) grabbed a 10-7 lead in the first behind Tyler Schall’s 23-yard field goal and a 67-yard pass from Jason Jones to Bryan Greene. Chestnut Ridge split those scores with Matt Wiley’s 23-yard run.
Chestnut Ridge (2-2) tied the game at 10 with 8:36 remaining before the half on Sean VanMeter’s 43-yard field goal.
The Lions took the lead for good with 4:16 remaining in the third on Wiley’s 59-yard run, as quarterback Beau Bosch capped the scoring late in the fourth on a one-yard dive.
The Lions’ defense was key in the second half, holding the Eagles’ offense stagnant  while the offense managed to move the sticks.
